I've had people ask me how I do those things that I do with my images; the 'Playing with Myself' series, or the 'Invisible Me' pic. I thought that today, because I'm happy again, I might share a little insight on some of the 'doings' behind all that, with intention to get a little more into it over time.
Bear in mind that this little series is hardly going to be in-depth or even remotely professional; it's just a thing I'm doing to pass the time a little differently, and show the curious among you what all this entails.
For those who haven't seen the pics mentioned above, here they are again in order of creation...

We'll start with the list of things I need in most, if not all, cases...
Some sort of device with which to capture a split-second in time and freeze that moment for viewing at a later time, or 'camera', as they're more commonly known.
I have a Nikon Coolpix S8000, but I have no way of taking repeated pictures without having to touch the thing, which is pretty much essential, for reasons you'll find out later. So basically I just use my mobile instead; a Samsung Galaxy SIII (pebble blue, with custom 'CM11' ROM, if you're into that sort of thing) and an app for taking shots repeatedly on a timed interval; 'Camera ZOOM FX Pro' by androidslide.
Once we have the shots, we're going to need something to edit them with as sorcery alone isn't powerful enough to directly manipulate digital imagery as of yet.
There's no question of what I opt to use when it comes to directly working on digital imagery, and that will always come down to the industry standard; 'Photoshop CC (2014)' by Adobe. Yes, the first time you gaze upon it, your bowels may try to make a break for it and vow never to return, but once you spend some quality time with it, you'll be with it for the duration - admittedly, you'd need to be just to learn a fraction of what it can do!
Yeah, it's a given there's a computer involved too, but as long as it can run PS that's all you need really - some people prefer to use a tablet + stylus to work, but I'm more than content to just use the mouse as it's a mess around to connect the tablet every time inspiration kicks me in the head.
The final, and perhaps most important piece of the puzzle, is this...

The custom built, no expense spared, 'camera stand'!
Next up: I'll go through where I got the idea to start doing the demented series; 'Playing with Myself', and how I did the very first image; 'Relax'...
